Dilemma #3
Pagan Community Leader
is Abusive to Students
Through multiple sources within the local Pagan community, word comes
to you about a leader who is abusive to his/her students. This abuse includes
some or all of the following practices:
* requiring drugs/alcohol as part of ritual practice, even if the student
is a recovering alcoholic/drug addict
* using sex as part of the recruiting process to get new members
* telling students that they need to move into the group house in order
to receive training, and then charging a great deal of money for staying
there. This makes it nearly impossible for students to leave, because
they have little money left.
* targeting students under the age of 18
You know this information because you have actually talked to people
who have been his/her students, so this is not second or third hand gossip.
Do you:
1) Actively warn members within the community?
2) Keep silent? People need to figure it out for themselves.
3) Do something in-between.
